Weekly Morning Class & Afternoon Activities Program

Our year round Mandarin classes are meant for students interested in learning Chinese on their own schedule – one can begin throughout the year and have the flexibility to decide the length of their course. Students can enrol for a minimum of 2 weeks to 49 weeks (we do not hold classes for 3 weeks of the year during Chinese national holidays). These classes are both for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced learners. For beginners our aim is to help give them the basic Chinese language skills they need to more fully enjoy and experience their time in China. Knowing basic Chinese will not only enable them to do simple tasks but will also give them the confidence and skills they need to interact with Chinese people on a daily basis. Intermediate or advanced students will learn more about Chinese usage and pick up nuances of language usage with other students in this program or with language exchange partners.

Program Description

Class Length: From two weeks to one year. A minimum of two weeks is required.

Class Hours: 3 hrs 45 mins of classes in the mornings per day, Monday-Thursday, and two optional hours of one-on-one tutorials in the afternoons.

Description: Students can begin any Monday throughout the year and have the flexibility to decide the length of their course. Students can enroll for a minimum of two weeks to one year or more. Classes are held for four hours per day, Monday-Thursday. We also offer one-on-one tutoring sessions after class.

In this program, students will study Mandarin, including pinyin, tones, pronunciation and so on. Students themselves may decide how long to study. With this program students can transfer credits back to their home university. If you want to transfer credits back please let us know during application.

Our program is divided into three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Students will be given a placement test to assess their knowledge of Mandarin on their first day. The placement test will evaluate the students’ skill levels and place them in the correct class.
