Our class sizes are small with a maximum of
five students in our language classes. We use up-to-date versions of
textbooks and unique teaching materials written by our teachers to help
you study Chinesein a most effective and efficient way.
Our courses are designed to be innovative,

trips, and guest lecturers to make courses as exciting and educational as

High Quality Faculty

All of
our teachers possess teacher qualification certificates with more than 10
years teaching experience, among who 50% are associate professors. In our
other programs, our professors are similarly well qualified. Most of our
professors have over 20 years teaching experience and have been teaching
their native language as a foreign language for more than 10 years.
However, beyond credentials, we work with our teachers to ensure that our
classes are interesting and enjoyable.

Yunnan Province is home to half of the ethnic groups in
China, 26 in total. These include Thai people in the
tropical South, Tibetans in the Northwest, and Han Chinese
in the central plains. With Minds Abroad you can study
Chinese during the week and
explore Yunnans amazing diversity of land and people on
weekend trips. During longer breaks, you can take short
excursions to
five nearby Southeast Asian countries.

Volunteer
Opportunities while Studying
For some of our programs, we give students the
option to volunteer with underprivileged children and teach English as a
second language in the evenings. No teaching experience is required. In
this way, you can not only help others, but also make new friends and gain
experience.
