All our apartments are located within a short distance from our school. Learn while you Do
We believe in offering teaching as a kind of service. Minds Abroad's philosophy is about 'learning by doing' so in addition to studying Mandarin, we also arrange for students to gain work experience by interning at a Chinese company or volunteering with an NGO in the local community.  We feel that these activities are an excellent way for students to learn about the local community and have daily opportunities to further develop the Chinese language skills they learn in our classrooms. We help in Promoting Cultural Interactions 
Many universities and private educational enterprises in the US and Europe are interested in arranging educational and cultural trips for their students in China. This calls for institutional collaboration between educational enterprises in China and the pertinent institution in the US or Europe. Minds Abroad collaborates with schools and universities in designing immersion programs for student groups that promotes cultural understanding and facilitates interaction between the people of 2 nations.

Learn Mandarin During the Week, Travel to 26 Ethnic Communities in Yunnan & 5 Nearby Countries on the WeekendSpacious Apartments Near the School  
Minds Abroad will help you to follow the footsteps of Marco Polo, learn Mandarin during the week and explore 26 ethnic cultures and 5 neighboring countries during the weekends. 

Yunnan Province is home to half of the ethnic groups in China, 26 in total.  These include Thai people in the tropical South, Tibetans in the Northwest, and Han Chinese in the central plains.  With Minds Abroad you can study Chinese during the week and explore Yunnan’s amazing diversity of land and people on weekend trips. During longer breaks, you can take short excursions to five nearby Southeast Asian countries.  

Earn University Credit from Our Partner University which You Can Transfer To Your Home College or University
University students who study Chinese in Minds Abroad can earn college credits from our University partners in Yunnan and can transfer the credits back to their home institution.*

We realize that many study abroad programs are highly priced. Although our program has a very competitive cost, we still work hard for students participating in our program to help finance your Minds Abroad experience while participating in study abroad in China.
 

Volunteer Opportunities while Studying

For some of our programs, we give students the option to volunteer with underprivileged children and teach English as a second language in the evenings. No teaching experience is required. In this way, you can not only help others, but also make new friends and gain experience.
