Several general scholarship for study abroad in Asia
- To encourage US undergraduate students to study in East and
Southeast Asia
- All fields of study
- A minimum of 8 weeks for a summer term, 10 weeks for a quarter term,
and 12 weeks for a semester term
- Summer Program $3,000 Semester/Quarter Program $5,000 Academic Year
Program $7,000
- Mid-March and mid-October
- Varies every year
- "1.US citizens or permanent resident at the time of application. 2.
Currently receive Need-Based Financial Aid or demonstrate through FAFSA
a verifiable need for financial assistance to study abroad in Asia.
3.Undergraduate students in good standing at an institution of higher
education in the United States. 4.Have at least one term of enrollment
remaining at their home institutions following their return from the
study in Asia. 5. Studying in the following countries and regions are
eligible: Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos,
Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand,
Vietnam. 6. Have applied or have been accepted to a study abroad program
that awards academic credits through the home campus or other U.S.
accredited college or university. 7. Have spent less than 4 weeks in the
proposed country of study within the last 5 years. 8. A study abroad
survey is required. "
