Minds Abroad’s Accommodations

As a service to our students, Minds Abroad can arrange comfortable and affordable housing. While students are free to find housing on their own, our connections with real estate agents and knowledge of the local housing market allows us to provide

accommodation options at the lowest possible price. We make comfort and convenience our number one concern when offering housing to our students, interns and volunteers because we know that this is important for people adjusting to living in a foreign country and learning a challenging new language.

All our apartments are in exclusive residential complexes in Kunming, equipped with all modern amenities like the following:

• Housekeeping twice a week
• 24 Hours Security Guard and Entry
• Fully furnished
• Unlimited internet (Wifi)
• 24H Hot Water
• TV
• DVD Player
• Fridge
• Washing Machine
• Western Toilet 
• Kitchen

There is a $285 refundable caution deposit for all students/volunteers who use our housing. This deposit is to guard us against any damages to our property. Students/volunteers are responsible for any damage to furniture or appliances in rooms, apartments or homestay residences they occupy. The deposit will be refunded to students/volunteers at the conclusion of their stay, less any damages. 

Accommodation Options

Shared Bedroom in a Shared Apartment:

In a shared apartment, you have will share a bedroom with another student or volunteer. This means a room will have two separate beds.The living room, kitchen and bathroom will be common to be shared with a few other Minds Abroad students staying in the other rooms of the apartment. All shared apartments are equipped with a TV, water dispenser, fridge, washing machine and broadband internet access. This is not only a very affordable accommodation option but is also a fantastic way to make new friends.

Price: $99/week (from September to May) and $149 (from June to August)  

Private Apartment:

You can choose to reside in an apartment by yourself. All of private apartments are completely furnished and have one bedroom, one bathroom and a kitchen. Additionally, they are equipped with a TV, water dispenser, fridge, washing machine and broadband internet access.
